Motivation Speaks is a Christ-centered organization committed to empowering parents, families, and professionals to effectively advocate for the educational rights of children with disabilities and children of color through holistic training, coaching, and consulting.
Preventing justice involvement through the school-to-prison pipeline is at the forefront of what we do.
We support educators and other youth serving professionals (Early Childhood-k12) by increasing their awareness of the barriers families face when navigating systems that often punish rather than support.
By blending faith, lived experience, and practical tools, Motivation Speaks helps educational settings move from cycles of crisis to cycles of transformation.

About Us!
My son Mikylin was born with complete hearing loss in one ear and was very early on diagnosed with a severe intellectual disability. In 2009, I had to quit my job because every day I was called to pick him up from school as a result of his behavior. I spent the majority of my time in the classroom with my son just so he could remain in school.
Because of his disability and challenging behaviors, he became an easy target for the school-to-prison pipeline—a term that describes how students are pushed out of schools and into the juvenile justice system. I was determined not to let this happen.

Through much prayer, my faith in Jesus Christ and learning how to advocate effectively, I was able to get Mikylin through school and he graduated in 2021 with a strong finish. We found purpose in our storm and Motivation Speaks was birthed.

Through Motivation Speaks, I use my personal experience and professional skills to provide key notes and training to parents, educators and other professionals on special education processes and parent advocacy. I look forward to serving you and your community!
