Are you wondering why all of a sudden trouble is all around you? All of a sudden solid relationships are falling apart. Suddenly there’s trouble on your job, the money has stopped flowing and the bills are piling up. It seems as though trouble has come out of nowhere and from every direction. I had this thought the other night right before our Tuesday Bible class. When Joseph was sold into Egypt, he was bought by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh (Genesis 39:1). While in Potiphar’s house, the Lord blessed the work of Joseph’s hands and all that he did prospered. It was evident that God was with Joseph. Suddenly, the devil stepped into the heart of Potiphar’s wife and she became intent on causing this God-fearing, devoted young man to sin against his master and his God. Potiphar’s wife tempted Joseph to lie with her and when he refused she accused him of attempting to rape her. Potiphar forgot all about Joseph’s loyalty and he believed the accusation against Joseph. All of a sudden Joseph’s world was turned upside down (again). Joseph was thrown into the dungeon. Trouble came to Joseph’s house unexpectedly but God was about to use this trouble to plummet Joseph to the next level of his assignment. Joseph was about to collide with his purpose. If trouble has unexpectedly walked into your marriage, your job, your home, your business or even in your body, get ready because I believe that you are about to collide with your purpose!
